TPOL Power Point
Project Description
This is my TPol slides. These slides are supposed to represent what we have learned over the year. It was really fun making these because we got to look back at all the cool things we got to do over the year. It shows my 3 celebrations, my 2 areas I need to grow in and a question I have for the teachers. We have to present this to our teachers. My presentation is on June 19, 2017

Character Hat for Romeo and Juliet
Project Description:
We started the unit of Shakespeare and we were told that we were going to be acting the whole story of Romeo and Juliet, one of Shakespeare's best and most well know pieces. We were also told we had to make hats representing characters from the story. My character was Friar Lawrence, which was one of the main characters within the story. He is a priest and a scientist, hes ironic because he is a priest and priests don't believe in science but he believes in both. Back on topic, I made my hat look like what it does because he was holding a flask and I instantly thought of a potion so I assumed he was a wizard.

I would rate my hat 5/10 because I could have been more creative with my hat. Its literally 2 felt 8x11's hot glued together which to me is very creative. A strength I had while making this was the design. It's simple and easy to wear. A challenge was the creativity, I could have done something better this. I would push myself be trying to be way more creative.
Festival Reflection
PROMPT #1
I think one of the most memorable moments in the year was probably POL’s for the sole fact of us not having enough time to prep. I remember while my group was practicing for POL’s I was sweating so much because i thought we weren’t going to do well on our presentation. The day for us to present our POL was a massive train wreck because we all at one point interrupted each other and we had some really choppy transitions and had a time limit of 15 minutes I believe and we got 6 mins i think out of all that it was very sad, but overall I think we did pretty bad.
Another memorable moment was working toward festival. This always seems to happen to us, we always tend to start with things and go farther than most students in progress, then we always just finish behind for whatever reason. We were working on our panel and I thought my group was with me and I asked for something but no one was there. I was kind of upset but Ryan came to help out.
The final memorable moment was Festival. It was incredibly fun. Since we had multiple shifts we had to keep running around the school to do our jobs. The one thing that stuck out to me was when I was at our Shark Tank stand and the person that was supposed to be there was a little late and although the halls were packed they should’ve came sooner so me and my other partner had to rush to our next shift.
PROMPT #2
One skill I grew on my patience. This is because my group tends to go off topic a lot but sometimes I do too, but once it's time to get to work and my group mates aren’t helping I try to stay calm and bring them back together so that we can get work done.
Another skill I grew in was to troubleshoot. Before I used to think the first time it was ok. But now whenever something is uneven or something is not straight I help my group to try and fix it to make it its best and make it better.
The last skill that I definitely grew in was to definitely take charge and speak for my group. This all started when no one was willing to do things for the process board so I said we have to get this done so that we will get a good grade, and everyone got to work

Spoken Word Project
Project Description:
Our project consisted of 3 things. Writing, rehearsal, and reading. When we had to read we had to learn about other poets from different places to see and have a feel of their art style. We read from people in Canada, America, Mexico and the Caribbean. We had to complete packets and fill out what we thought about that piece. For writing we had to make our own poem from scratch. At first me and my partners were struggling to find what we were going to say, but after our second draft we started rolling from there. For rehearsal we had to practice our poem for exhibition. We kept practicing and practicing until we got it.

The first exhibition was great I had a lot of fun writing my poem with my fellow partners. Though we had to stay up late to complete the following drafts it was a great project. At the night of exhibition I felt a little nervous at first but while we were performing I got less and less nervous. All I saw while I was performing were the lights on top of the amphitheater. I didn’t see the parents (I kinda did but you get it…) It felt like it was just me and my partners. All I heard were the echos of the microphones transmitting our voices to the speakers. I tasted the pizza we had shortly before we started to perform. Before this project I didn’t like poetry at all. Whenever we had to do a poetry project I always sighed because it wasn't enjoyable but now it's changed I find it a little more enjoyable. The reason I find it enjoyable is because there are many ways to say poetry. I personally like singing in poetry because I like to sing. I was very surprised about the project. I didn't think I would enjoy it. The various rehearsals to the numerous drafts and even more. I remember at the night of exhibition Jose messed up and I was about to laugh. I almost messed up too which would have been bad. I almost forgot what part I had to sing. A growing moment for me was when we got critique on our first draft. We were struggling to come up with our next parts. We kept trying and trying but we couldn't seem to come up with lines. It took us some time time for us to actually come up with the lines that we had now. One thing I would change is the lines that we would say because although they were ok I would say they could have been better in my opinion. Or maybe I could have worked on this piece by myself. For the longest time I was complaining about how I wanted to say my piece by myself.
