Sinking
24” x 20”
Acrylic on Canvas
Michael Buna
I do things that I regret in life, and sometimes those actions take a toll on me. My power comes from my brain and specifically the actions that I take to be a better person. I show this in my art piece because it shows times where I’ve acted upon something incorrectly. It shows that I regretted my actions and expresses sadness. I named my piece “Sinking” because the background is blue and I’m sinking in sadness. I also included myself crying into the amygdala (which is the part of the brain that controls emotion) to show that I show more sadness than I should. The last thing that I show is my memory of a tragic moment in my story. The amygdala also controls your thoughts, so I also included my thoughts into my piece.
